My first 3d printed design – Post-It Note Holder

The design is a post-it note holder with one pad each for today and tomorrow. I find it handy to have a list of things that need to be done today and those that can wait!

Here is the 3d Model, It took a while to make as I had to draw all the letters manually. I am using FreeCAD and the design is parametric.

The following photo shows the printer halfway through the print after just completing the insets. The design takes 2 hours to print. In the later prints I used a 10 row skirt with 0 distance from the model which really helped to prevent the model from warping as it cooled.

First real print on Ultimaker

No Knead Bread

Adapted from a video on the NY times website:

ingredients

 

  •  3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons quick yeast
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups water

directions

  • combine and rest for 4 hours in warm place (top of fridge?).
  • coat with flour/wholegrains.
  • place in cold/cool cast iron pot.
  • then turn on oven to 200 deg celcius.
  • cook in pot for 45mins with lid on.
  • Increase oven to 250 deg celcius.
  • remove lid cook for further 15mins.

Oven  Pre-Heat Oven to 200c place in oven for 30 Minutes Remove From Oven Cool for 1 Hour
Large Bowl  Combine Combine Combine wrap mixture into rolls with baking paper
4 Cups Rice Bubbles
2 Cups Rolled Oats
1.5 Cups Mixed Nuts
1.5 Cups Mixed Seeds
2 Cups Protien Powder
1.5 Cups Water
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
